Do I need a law degree or be in law school to take the Patent Bar Exam?

No you do not! As long as you meet the scientific/technical/engineering qualifications, you can sit for the patent bar. When you pass the exam, you will become what is called a “patent agent.” If you have a law degree and pass the patent bar, you will become a patent attorney.
